Having worked for his uncle, Horace Whittington, in the paving industry since he was just fifteen years old, Rusty Whittington knew in 1991 that he had enough experience to start his own paving company when Horace retired. With the help of Rusty’s mother, Jan Tucker, Horace’s daughter, Gayelynn Oyler, and countless business associates along the way, Rusty founded Whittington Paving Company. It would officially become Whittington Paving Co., Inc. in 1996.
